Welcome!
I would like to thank all of you who have taken the time to contact my office, making us aware of important issues affecting our district. Together we have been able to make considerable and measurable progress in improving our neighborhoods.
Unlike previous years, it is not business as usual at the District 8 office. My staff and I have advocated for our fair share of improvement projects bettering the livelihoods of our region's residents. Such tasks include repaving of streets, sidewalk repairs, maintenance of City trees, and the replacement of deteriorated water and sewer pipes. Moreover, we have fought for and now have put in place a very aggressive graffiti removal and trash collection program. As a result, I am glad to report that a significant amount of graffiti and tons of trash have been taken away from our alleys, creeks, watersheds, and parks.
In our continue effort to create safer, more walkable neighborhoods, my office has also been instrumental in having stop signs and other traffic calming measures installed within our communities. Finally, we have planted over a thousand new trees, help weatherize and beautify homes and businesses throughout District 8.
