The Cable Office provides cable television regulation and enforcement for all cable television service customers within the San Diego City limits. The City of San Diego maintains non-exclusive cable television franchises with two cable companies: Cox Communications and Time Warner Cable TV. Cox Communications serves the community south of the San Diego River. Time Warner Cable serves those areas located north of the San Diego River.
