Public hearings and the decision process are conducted in accordance with the San Diego Municipal Code.

• Ministerial Projects
  Appeals to interpretation of the codes are available on ministerial projects.
  • Guaranteed Second Opinion
    If for any reason you disagree with a code interpretation, want some confirmation or to voice a concern, just ask for a second opinion.
  • Board of Building Appeals and Advisors
    Investigates and advise as to the suitability of any alternate material design, or construction method, and recommend reasonable interpretations of the provisions of the code.
  • Housing Advisory and Appeals Board
    Provide reasonable interpretations of the provisions of the Housing Code.
