- Code Monitoring Team (CMT)
The Code Monitoring Team (CMT) was created as part of the code monitoring and update program that began when the Land Development Code became effective in January 2000. CMT is a balanced representation of interests related to land development including American Institute of Architects, American Planning Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Landscape Architects, Association of Environmental Planners, Building Industry Association, Business Owner-At Large, Chamber of Commerce, Community Member-CPC Representative, Community Member-At Large, Historic Resources, League of Women Voters, San Diego Association of Realtors, San Diego Bar Association, and Sierra Club. CMT members are frequent users of the LDC who are familiar with the regulations. The group assists staff in evaluation of issues related to the Land Development Code and provides a forum for discussion of issues related to code implementation. CMT provides recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council on proposed code amendments.
Code Monitoring Team meetings are open to the public. CMT meets the second Wednesday of each month from 2-4 p.m. in Conference Room 5C located at 1222 First Avenue-Fifth Floor, San Diego, CA 92101-4155. Meetings are chaired by Development Services Department LDC Team staff. Meeting agendas can be obtained from the CMT staff liaison at dsdldcteam@sandiego.gov one week prior to the meeting.
