Peer to Peer
Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
In the Peer to Peer Program, the City of San Diego works with the Center for Sustainable Energy, the County of San Diego and the City of Chula Vista to share information and resources with other local public agencies. These agencies may then develop successful energy conservation and energy efficiency programs in their own jurisdictions using proved and tested tools and best practices.
The Peer to Peer program is just one of four programs run by the City of San Diego that are funded with Public Goods Funds. Every energy customer pays public goods charges. The California Public Utilities Commission uses this funding to promote energy conservation and energy efficiency throughout the State. The City of San Diego has successfully recaptured $3 million of this funding to reinvest in energy programs in our city between 2006 and 2008.
