Long-term Resource Management Strategic Plan The City of San Diego Environmental Services Department (ESD) has retained the services of Bryan A. Stirrat & Associates to develop a Long Term Resource Management Strategic Plan to address the City's solid waste needs for the next 25 years. This Long Term Resource Management project consists of two phases. Phase I will include identifying and evaluating options, facilities and technologies, while working with an advisory committee, to address the City's solid waste management needs. Phase II will provide more detailed analysis of select options, development of financial plans, recommendations for policy changes and the development of a Strategic Plan describing and analyzing how to implement these options. An Advisory Committee has been formed and will meet approximately once every two months. This committee will gain a thorough understanding of the challenges and obstacles of waste diversion in San Diego, and will assist in the process of identifying options and solutions. The committee consists of community members and stakeholders of diverse interests. For additional information contact the Project Manager, Sylvia M. Castillo. Sylvia M. Castillo P.E.
