New Proposed Construction and Inspection Regulations

The City of San Diego will be enforcing the 2007 edition of the California Fire Code for construction permit applications and for inspections on January 1, 2008.

Changes are being proposed to existing regulations in Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code necessary for consistency with the state mandated codes. Additionally, local amendments to the California Fire Code will be updated by modifying, adding or deleting regulations in Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code
