Presentations and Speakers

San Diego Fire-Rescue Department personnel spend hundreds of hours each year going to schools, community groups and special events to promote fire & life safety.

If your organization is within the City of San Diego and you would like to have a fire engine, ambulance and/or speaker come to your location, complete the speaker request form . Demand on resources and time requires that presentations to school groups are limited to children at least five years of age.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department proudly participates in a number of community events each year including fairs, parades and health events. Please note participation is limited to educational and community events only. Participation in private events such as birthday parties and business openings cannot be supported due to normal day-to-day activities such as business inspections, fire suppression and medical runs.

Please be aware that fire crews are on duty 24-hours a day. Even with booked events, the possibility exists that the crew could be diverted. If a crew does not arrive for your scheduled event, please call (619) 533-3780 to reschedule.
