Fire Station Tours and Visits
The City of San Diego's fire stations
are open daily for tours and visits on a prearranged and approved basis.
Visitors are welcome to meet firefighters, paramedics and emergency medical technicians and see
the equipment used to keep their neighborhoods safe. To arrange a tour, please do the following:
- Call San Diego Fire-Rescue Department main phone line at (619) 533-4300.
- We will ask your name, address and phone number, as well as the time and date you would
like to tour.
(Please provide an alternate date)
- Please give the number of people in your group and their ages. Children must be at least five
years old.
Tours are limited to groups of 20 or fewer (adults and children).
We request one adult for every five children visiting our facilities.
- Please explain the particular topic you want covered, i.e. fire safety; stop, drop & roll;
or emergency medical services.
- Please allow at least 2 weeks for processing and arranging your request.
Please be aware that the fire stations are on 24-hour call. Even with booked tours, the
possibility exists that the crew could be called out and the station will be closed when you arrive.
If a crew is not at the station for a scheduled tour, wait 15 minutes. If the crew does not
return in that time frame, please contact us again to reschedule
your tour.
