Recreation Center Hours
Monday - Friday: 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED

Facilities
An indoor gymnasium with a wood floor, an outdoor gymnasium, a multipurpose field, a craft room, a meeting room, tennis courts, racquetball courts, and a Teen Center.

Summer Baseball - for boys ages 8 to 15 years old.
Summer Softball - for girls ages 8 to 15 years old.
Summer Lunch Program - July 22 through August 28, 2009. Lunch will be served 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. and snack at 3:00 to 3:30 p.m.
History of the Center
The land was acquired in 1912, then dedicated in 1928. Hall of Fame baseball player Ted Williams used to play here as a child. The rec center is one of the oldest in the city.

From Interstate 805, take the El Cajon Boulevard exit and go west. Take El Cajon Boulevard to Idaho Street and turn left. The center is on the right hand side.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 1, 2, 6, 7, 10, 15 & 966.

Meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every other month in the social room. Please call for more infomation.
