City Amateur Championships
2008
The 2008 City Amateur Championship is an annual tournament held at the City of San Diego's Balboa and Torrey Pines Golf Courses August 2-3 and August 9, 2008. The format is 54 hole Gross Stroke Play with no cut and is open to all amateur golfers, over 18 years of age, who are active members of an SCGA or USGA club or index system and have a current numeric index as of June 1, 2008 (indexes for June 2008 will be verified by the tournament committee prior to play).
The tournament features three championship flights: Men, Women and Seniors. Players will be selected from their flights by the tournament committee to participate in the championship based on the lowest indexes. The players will be selected after the entry period has closed. All rounds begin with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
